Marketing through bumper stickers

Businesses are always in the market for advertising ideas that are innovative, successful and creative. However, advertising can be limited by your resources, depending on the form of advertising you choose. And if you have a local business and need to drive local customers to your bricks and mortar store, well, this is where creativity and innovation is a must and challenges do exist in this arena.

The areas covered by television promotions and local newspaper ads are limited and expensive. These limitations and the cost must be considered when planning a viral campaign for promoting your business. Continuous advertising requires ongoing costs in order to create a successful campaign and the cost could be prohibitive for most business owners.

There are less expensive and successful avenues of adverting available to you. There is the Printed T-shirt campaign, very successful and, here it comes, bumper stickers, a most successful means of advertising. Both are inexpensive, innovative, successful and easy to put together.

Bumper stickers are both inexpensive and are very effective for advertising your business and are considered as powerful as billboards, electronic newsletters and postcards. For instance, if someone sees your bumper sticker while driving or in a parking lot, this could result in a sale for you and maybe a return customer or even a referral.

You can have your bumper stickers custom made, anyway you like, but just a little bit of information first…don’t make it too large. Try a catchy phase or a tip or maybe the sports organization, for kids your business is supporting. A little information goes a long way. First the organization then the business and phone number. Or if you have a web site use that instead of phone number.

The more creative and innovative you are, the better. Asking a customer to display your bumper sticker is a good way to get exposure, beyond what you can do alone. You can use a catchy phrase or tip to catch peoples interest. If you support a sport team (little league etc,) you can use that as the theme for your bumper stickers. Ask customers if they want one when they purchase. You’d be surprised how many will say yes. You’re marketing will get in front of many more people than, if just you, are using bumper stickers.

Make sure you choose a reputable supplier. A company that is willing to print your stickers to your exact specifications. You can use sites such as http://www.customizedstickers.com/ to order your own bumper stickers online.

A bumper sticker represents you and your business. It will be seen anywhere and everywhere you and those who display your sticker, go. Using bumper stickers is a very successful medium and is used by almost everyone.
