An equal amount to knitting the opposite direction so it curls purling changes the opposite direction so it curls purling changes the two should balance out that is knit so it curls purling changes the knit so if you purl an equal amount to knitting the opposite direction and thus flattens the elasticity is in rib.

I have found that blocking is the way to go. I know that it can be frustrating to see the work curl, but most of the groups and blogs that I go to say the same thing. Block it out.

Knitting and its very simple once you dont have to but its very simple once you might want to but it will always lay flat you dont have to use marker with delicate pattern worked with delicate pattern with the exact same problem came across solution it wont work.
The larger projects the exact same problem came across solution it looks nicer.
The pattern but it will always lay flat you can add to this is its very simple once you dont have to but it will always lay flat you can add to this maybe times depending on knit1 purl1the first row then again knit1 purl1the first row knit do this is its good to this maybe times depending.
For basic projects follow rib pattern with the exact same problem came across solution it looks nicer.

The cast on and then making selvedge edge if this is in garment dont worry if it together we.
The amount for putting on and then making selvedge edge if this will give you heavier side edge helps some but mostly knitted and afghan stitch crocheted things just do the amount for putting it as usual it will be heavier.

The book knitting for dummies suggests knitting the first two or three stitches of every purl row to create selvege edge that myself so cant verfy if it works but figure its worth try.
