With yarn substitutions, individual differences in how knitters actually knit, types of needles, etc, you may never get guage 100% accurate.

Searching by guage would limit the projects you might otherwise be interested in trying/making if you didn’t do that.

However, most yarn company and pattern websites such as Lion Brand, knitty.com, Lily, Aunt Lydia’s, smiley’s yarn, allcrafts.com, freepatterns.com, etc include guage in their patterns.

Have you tried going to their sites, clicking on the edit button (next to file button and view button) at top left of your computer toolbar and then entering the guage you want into the search box that pops up?

It should pop up a box that says “find on this page” and you can then enter the search term you want there, to see if it is on that page.

Do that for each website page of patterns and see what you can find. It won’t search the whole website, just the page.

Which is why you might need to search by type or weight of yarn, instead.
